From Ana: I am Finally finished and so happy to share with you my latest creation in silicone. After months of agonizing sculpting, molding, and finishing, I present the first photographs of Baby Erin.
Erin is Elfin's twin sister and was born without the elf ears. Designed specifically for film and television, no detail has been spared. Perfectly recreated in solid EcoFlex20, Platinum based silicone. Each tiny wrinkle and crease has been carefully painted using a multi layered technique to give depth and realism to the skin. I am using only the best silicone pigments and paints that I can buy. Many, many hours of research and work has gone into creating this newborn sized baby. Layer by layer, Erin has been brought together to capture the ultimate in realism. This baby was originally designed for props but I am also opening up the edition to my private collectors. This edition will consist of 5 babies out of this edition, not including the artists proof. Baby Erin is an anatomically correct girl. Erin's head circumference is 9.5 inches and the body is 12inches long with legs bent. She is approximately to scale of a 27 week premature baby, just under 3lbs. The doll in the photograph is the 1st prototype made.
Each doll will be painted using the layered technique. I will be painting the hair on these dolls not rooting them. You can request to have the hair left unpainted if you intend to root the doll yourself. However this will not affect the pricing. The baby will come dressed in clothing of the artist's choosing. No kits are to be made of this baby as I want each doll in this edition to be of my own creation closely resembling each other.
