From Ana: I am Finally finished and so happy to share with you my latest creation in silicone. After months of agonizing sculpting, molding, and finishing, I present the first photographs of Baby Edward May.
Designed specifically for film and television, no detail has been spared. Perfectly recreated in solid EcoFlex20, Platinum based silicone. Each tiny wrinkle and crease has been carefully painted using a multi layered technique to give depth and realism to the skin. I am using only the best silicone pigments and paints that I can buy. Many, many hours of research and work has gone into creating this newborn sized baby. Layer by layer, Edward May has been brought together to capture the ultimate in realism. This edition will consist of 15 babies out of this edition. Baby Edward May is an anatomically correct baby boy. Edward May's head circumference is 12.5 inches and the body is 17 inches long with legs bent. He weighs approximately 7 lbs. The doll in the photograph is the 1st prototype made.
Each doll will be painted using the layered technique. I will be painting the hair on these dolls not rooting them. You can request to have the hair left unpainted if you intend to root the doll yourself. However this will not affect the pricing. The baby will come dressed in clothing of the artist's choosing. No kits are to be made of this baby as I want each doll in this edition to be of my own creation closely resembling each other. Finished mouth with tongue.
